Kino Vzlet

Kino Vzlet is an Art Deco movie house in Prague 10 that was built as a cinema and now serves multiple cultural functions following extensive renovation. The symmetrical facade with large windows and classical details characterizes its appearance and structure.

The cinema was built in 1921 near former orchards and took its name from a Sokol movement motto about falcon flight. The building later served as a warehouse before being transformed into its current cultural function.

The venue hosts regular concerts by Collegium 1704 orchestra, theater performances by Vosto5 ensemble, and exhibitions at Vzlet Gallery. This varied programming transforms it into an active gathering space for different art forms today.

The building has modern technical equipment and updated seating throughout following renovation, providing comfortable conditions for visitors attending various events. Multiple event spaces allow different activities to happen simultaneously or in sequence.

The building passed through multiple lives as a cinema, then a warehouse, and now as a cultural center, reflecting how Prague's entertainment venues have evolved over time. This transformation shows how older structures can take on entirely new roles today.
