Weilimdorf, Administrative district in Stuttgart, Germany
Weilimdorf is a district in northwestern Stuttgart with six subdivisions and green residential areas between them. The area centers around Löwen-Markt, where shops, a library, and council offices cluster together.
The district formed when Feuerbach merged into it in 1929, and it then became part of Stuttgart in 1933. These administrative changes shaped the current boundaries of the area.
The Evangelische Oswaldkirche has shaped the district center since the 15th century and displays Gothic features you can still see today. Many residents use the area around the church as a meeting point and landmark in the neighborhood.
Löwen-Markt is easy to reach and offers everything needed for visitors and residents in one place. The weekly market happens regularly and makes it simple to explore local services.
A wind turbine from 2000 stands on Grüne Heiner hill, built on the grounds of a former landfill. It is Stuttgart's only wind turbine and shows creative reuse of the site.
