Raubling, municipality of Germany
Raubling is a municipality in the Rosenheim district of Bavaria composed of several smaller neighborhoods, each with its own character. The town sits at the entrance to the Bavarian Inn Valley and combines residential and working areas with agricultural land, lakes, and woodlands.
The town was called Kirchdorf am Inn until the early 1950s, when it changed its name to establish a new identity. In the late 20th century, several villages merged through regional reforms to create the present-day municipality, blending older settlement patterns with contemporary living.
The community maintains its local traditions through various clubs and celebrations that happen throughout the year. Visitors can sense a strong sense of togetherness among residents, visible in customs and the way people interact in the smaller districts.
The town is easily accessible via two highways and two train lines, connecting conveniently to Rosenheim and airports in Munich and Salzburg. Visitors will find ample parking, playgrounds, a large outdoor pool, walking paths, and a public shuttle service for getting around.
A large highland bog was restored to its natural wetland state and now serves as an important nature reserve with a visitor education center. Guided walks through the area allow people to learn about local plants, animals, and ecosystems firsthand.
