Bierer Berg is a forested hill near Schönebeck rising 83 meters high, covered with dense trees that provide shelter and create a natural setting. The location features an observation tower, open-air theater, animal park, and café that together form a diverse recreational area.

From 1895 the Verschönerungsverein zu Groß Salze remodelled the hill for Bismarck's 80th birthday, planting trees, setting a memorial stone and renaming it Bismarckhöhe. A 9.5-metre lookout tower with an economy building was approved in February 1897 and finished the same year; the fieldstone Bismarck monument followed on 2 June 1899. The tower was raised to about 13.5 metres in 1907 because growing trees blocked the view. The hill was renamed Bierer Berg in 1946.

The summit hosts an open-air theater and animal park that serve as gathering places for visitors and show how the community uses the location. These facilities shape the everyday life of the region and make it a popular destination for families and those seeking outdoor recreation.

The hill lies southwest of Schönebeck but belongs to the town's own district, not to neighbouring Biere. The tower, animal park, open-air stage and restaurant stand close together on the wooded 83-metre summit, so the grounds can be crossed on foot in a short time. The open-air operetta performances take place in July and August, and the Bierer Berg festival in August.

The tower on Bierer Berg is one of 15 surviving Bismarck towers in Saxony-Anhalt. It was first built in 1897 at 9.5 metres and raised to about 13.5 metres in 1907 because the growing trees had blocked the view. The Bismarck monument of fieldstone, dedicated on 2 June 1899, still stands.
