The monument stands at Hanau marketplace, where local farmers gather twice weekly to sell fresh produce and seasonal goods at over 100 market stalls.
According to local tradition passed through generations, the bronze figures of Jacob and Wilhelm exchange their positions at midnight when no one watches.
