Dreieinigkeitskirche

The Trinity Church is a church building with a prominent dome and baroque character located in Bogenhausen. The structure features a double-faced south facade with robust baroque cornices that extend beyond the neighboring houses.

The building was constructed between 1711 and 1718 under the direction of architect Giovanni Antonio Viscardi. It survived World War II as one of the few undamaged religious buildings in central Munich.

The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and displays remarkable ceiling paintings by Cosmas Damian Asam throughout its interior spaces. Visitors can see baroque artistic details that reflect the spiritual traditions of the local community.

The original spire top was destroyed during World War II and was never fully restored. This missing detail remains a quiet reminder of the war and makes the building visually distinctive today.
