Rabenhof Ellwangen

Rabenhof Ellwangen is a large estate northwest of town with multiple residential buildings, workshops, and specialized facilities across the property. The grounds contain diverse work areas and living spaces arranged throughout the countryside location.

The estate dates to 1337 and operated as a traditional farm for over 500 years before its transformation began. In 1895 it shifted toward serving as a social institution with a different mission.

The facility now serves as a rehabilitation center operated by LWV Eingliederungshilfe, providing care and support for individuals with mental health conditions.

The grounds can be explored to see the different areas where daily activities take place across the site. Visitors gain a sense of how residential and work spaces are organized within the layout.

The estate runs a catering service for the Aalen district office, where residents directly participate in the local employment market. This connection creates real work experience opportunities beyond the grounds.
