Petuelpark, Urban park in Schwabing, Munich, Germany.
Petuelpark is a 7.4-hectare green space in Munich that stretches 650 meters from west to east, connecting the districts of Milbertshofen-Am Hart and Schwabing-West. It features landscaped paths and garden sections that invite visitors to explore.
Construction of the park began in 1999, built above the Petuel Tunnel to transform a former traffic-congested area into green space for residents. This change gave the neighborhood a natural retreat where there had previously been heavy vehicle movement.
The park displays art installations throughout its grounds that reflect the artistic expression of the local community and integrate naturally with the landscape. These works become part of your walk rather than standing apart from it.
The park has wheelchair-accessible paths and playgrounds suitable for children of all abilities, with direct access via U-Bahn lines U3 and U8 at Petuelring station. You can easily reach it and move around safely throughout the grounds.
The grounds are divided into themed garden sections designed to resemble rooms of a house, including a kitchen garden and a water basin styled like a bathroom. This playful design turns a simple walk into an imaginative exploration.
