Maximilianpark Hamm, Public park and amusement area in Hamm, Germany

The Maximilianpark extends across several hectares, featuring gardens, a butterfly house, play areas, and a glass elephant structure rising above the landscape.

The park opened in 1984 on the former grounds of a coal mine, transforming an industrial site into a recreational destination for the local community.

Regular events throughout the year include music concerts, theater performances, and seasonal celebrations that bring together residents and visitors.

Winter admission costs 1.50 euros for adults and 1 euro for children between 3 and 17 years, while summer rates increase to 6 euros for adults.

Dutch garden designer Piet Oudolf created perennial gardens within the park, incorporating naturalistic planting schemes among industrial heritage structures.
