Kunstmuseum Pablo Picasso Münster

The Kunstmuseum Pablo Picasso Münster occupies two historic buildings in the Old Town and displays a substantial collection of the artist's graphics and prints. The structures themselves date from the 1700s and were carefully restored to properly showcase the works.

The buildings were erected in the late 1700s as residences and only much later received a different purpose. Following extensive renovations in the 1990s, the museum was founded and opened to display Picasso's works.

The collection focuses on prints and works on paper that let visitors see Picasso's experimental methods and different creative periods firsthand. You can trace how the artist played with colors and forms across his career.
