Schloss Wendlinghausen

Schloss Wendlinghausen is a Renaissance château in Dörentrup set within a three-hectare park and featuring traditional architecture with high ceilings and large windows. Throughout the structure, ornate details showcase the craftsmanship and building techniques of the early 1600s.

Built between 1613 and 1616 by Hilmar von Münchhausen, the château rests on oak pile foundations designed to prevent settling. In 1730, the von Reden family acquired the property and shaped its evolution over the following centuries.
