Schloss Richmond, Baroque pleasure house in Brunswick, Germany.
The Richmond Palace features a square layout with a corner entrance, ceremonial halls arranged diagonally, and private rooms on both sides.
Built between 1769 and 1774, the palace was commissioned by Princess Augusta of Great Britain, wife of Charles William Ferdinand of Brunswick.
The palace halls display restored 18th-century paintings that reflect the refined tastes of the Brunswick ducal family.
The ground floor rooms welcome visitors through guided tours, while the upper floor functions as a private residence.
The palace grounds contain one of northern Germany's first landscape gardens, designed in 1768 by English architect Lancelot Brown.
