Vogelpark Abensberg

Vogelpark Abensberg is a zoo and petting zoo covering about 2.5 hectares where birds and other animals live in spacious naturalistic enclosures. The grounds house various bird species alongside donkeys, llamas, goats, and kangaroos.

The park grew from a private animal sanctuary into a public zoo in later years. Its expansion was guided by operator Erika Klemisch.

The park allows visitors to watch bird species in their environments and interact directly with animals from different parts of the world. Families use these encounters to develop a closer understanding of how these creatures live.

The park welcomes visitors during specific days of the week, with different ticket prices for adults and children. Walk slowly through the grounds to observe all animals and find the best access to interactive areas.

Some animals roam freely in designated areas of the park and allow visitors to feed them directly. This close contact creates memorable moments that stay with people long after their visit.
