City Tram Bridge, Pedestrian and tram bridge in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.

The Stühlingerbrücke is a pedestrian and tram bridge in Freiburg that crosses multiple traffic zones and links different forms of transportation together. The structure spans across Bismarckallee, the central bus station, and the main railway station, connecting Bertoldstraße with Wannerstraße.

The structure began service on December 9, 1983, creating a direct link between the Old City and the Stühlinger neighborhood. This new infrastructure represented an important step in modernizing Freiburg's transportation system.

The bridge serves as a daily passage for residents moving between trains, trams, and buses while they observe the city around them. This crossing point links two different neighborhoods and allows commuters to switch quickly from one form of transport to another.

The bridge is easily accessible on foot and has tram stops as well as direct access to the main railway station platforms. Visitors should note that bicycles are no longer allowed on the structure and must use the adjacent Wiwilí Bridge instead.

Since 2019, cyclists have not been allowed to use the bridge because the railing height does not meet new safety guidelines. This regulation change forced cyclists to reroute over the adjacent Wiwilí Bridge, resulting in an interesting shift in traffic patterns across the city.
