Schloss Henneckenrode

Schloss Henneckenrode is a Renaissance château in Holle with four wings arranged around a central courtyard. The buildings feature sturdy pillars on the rear and two round pavilions added during the 17th century.

The château was built in the 1580s as a residence by Heinrich von Saldern. It later passed to other owners who expanded and reshaped the property over the following centuries.

The chapel shows features of Weser Renaissance style with impressive artistic details from different periods. Visitors can see historical artworks there that reflect the long history of use at this location.

The castle sits within a protected landscape park with ponds and green spaces that invite walks around the grounds. Access to the area is typically available during daylight hours, allowing visitors to explore the exterior and the surrounding park.
