Villa Reiners, Historical villa in Weyhe, Germany.
Villa Reiners is a clinker-brick structure with gabled roofs, decorated gable projections, and an arched entrance located at Bahnhofstrasse 31/33 in Kirchweyhe. The municipality of Weyhe acquired the property in 1985 and later added four additional buildings on the grounds to provide senior housing.
The building was constructed in 1880 during the Gründerzeit period as a residence for the Reiners family. It later housed medical practices before being converted into a care facility for seniors.
The building was transformed into Martha-Schubert-Haus, named after a local Red Cross leader known for her service to the community. The name reflects her long commitment to helping residents in the area.
The building maintains protected status as a historical monument with specific preservation requirements. Visitors can view it from the outside, though it functions as a residential care facility and is not open for public tours.
The villa once served as dental and general medical practices, playing an important role in healthcare for the local population. This medical use ended in the 1930s when the building took on a different purpose.
