Chenoua

Chenoua is a beach on the Algerian Mediterranean coast with about 2 kilometers of sandy shoreline and natural rock formations. The water is clear and allows good visibility into the sea.

The beach sits beside Roman ruins from ancient Tipaza, a military colony founded by Emperor Claudius in the 1st century. These archaeological remains are an important part of the region's history.

Local fishermen work here using traditional methods and sell their catches to nearby restaurants and markets.

The beach is accessible by regular bus services from Algiers and offers pleasant conditions during summer months. The hottest days typically occur in July and August.

While swimming or walking along the shore, visitors can see archaeological sites and the sea at the same time. This combination is rarely found at beaches in the region.
