Hiiu-Rahu Cemetery, Historical cemetery in Hiiu neighborhood, Tallinn, Estonia
Hiiu-Rahu Cemetery spans across 2.2 hectares of land, making it one of the smallest burial grounds in the Estonian capital of Tallinn.
The cemetery grounds, designed by architect Karl Burman, were established in 1919 and officially opened their gates to the public in 1923.
Notable people buried in Hiiu-Rahu Cemetery include hydrographer Ernst Blumbach, writer Peeter Grünfeldt, and statesman Juhan Kukk.
The cemetery management and maintenance services are provided by Tallinna Kalmistud, which oversees multiple burial grounds throughout the Tallinn region.
The cemetery received its official status as a protected historical monument on September 20, 1995, through the Estonian National Registry of Cultural Monuments.
