Pikakari Beach, Sandy beach in Paljassaare peninsula, Estonia
The white sand extends along the northern coast of Tallinn, featuring a steep drop into deep waters and a stony bottom near the shore.
The beach stands near Katariina pier, which formed part of the defensive structures within Peter the Great sea fortress during the Russian Empire period.
Local residents gather at this beach throughout summer months to swim, play volleyball, and participate in various outdoor recreational activities.
The beach provides changing cabins, volleyball courts, children's playgrounds, and lifeguard services from June through August between 9:00 and 20:00.
Ships passing by create waves that reach the shore, making this beach different from other swimming locations along the Estonian coast.
