Cala Fornells, Mediterranean beach in Calvià, Spain
Cala Fornells is a small beach on the western coast of Mallorca that stretches about 80 meters and features white sand mixed with stone and rocky areas. The water is shallow in parts, and the cove is framed by rocks on both sides, giving it a sheltered appearance.
The beach formed naturally between two rocky outcrops and became popular with sailors and swimmers over time. The surrounding structures developed later in response to growing visitor numbers.
The beach is woven into the everyday rhythm of the area, where both locals and visitors share the space. The adjoining restaurants and homes create a blend of holiday resort and permanently inhabited coastal section.
The cove has basic facilities including changing rooms and showers, along with parking nearby. Several cafes and restaurants are within easy reach for meals and drinks.
A hiking path from here leads out to other hidden coves along the coast with sea views. The trail is easily accessible on foot and often overlooked by many visitors.
