Sant Quirze de Pedret

The stone church features three naves with a central structure from the 9th century and two lateral aisles added during the 10th century.

Initially constructed in 983, the church belonged to the monastery of San Llorenç and received modifications during the 10th, 11th, and 13th centuries.

The interior walls display medieval frescoes from two periods, with the central apse containing some of the oldest paintings in the Catalan Pyrenees.

The church opens for visitors on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:00 to 13:00, with general admission at 3 euros and reduced rates at 2 euros.

The church structure incorporates horseshoe-shaped arches and red clay tiles, demonstrating architectural influences from the Caliphate of Córdoba.
