Madrid Metro Line 12, rapid transit line of the Madrid Metro
Line 12 is a rapid transit circle route in Madrid that runs in a large loop through the city. It connects many important transit hubs and neighborhoods together, making it easier to transfer between other lines and forms of transportation.
The line opened in 2003 and marked an important step in modernizing Madrid's network. It partly replaced earlier surface transit solutions and improved connections to many southern and eastern neighborhoods.
The line serves most stations between about 6 in the morning and midnight on weekdays. Trains run regularly at short intervals, which keeps waiting times minimal and makes usage very reliable.
