Itsasmuseum Bilbao, Maritime museum in Bilbao, Spain
The Itsasmuseum spans 27,000 square meters, featuring indoor exhibitions and outdoor displays along the former Euskalduna shipyard next to the Nervión River.
The museum opened on November 20, 2003, in a building designed by Juan Francisco Paz using traditional shipbuilding materials such as stone, steel, and wood.
The collections include photographs, models, and maps that document the maritime activities and industrial development of the Port of Bilbao through generations.
The facility operates Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with regular admission at 6 euros and free entry on Tuesdays except during summer.
The Carola crane from the 1950s stands as a preserved industrial element, accompanied by three large bronze sculptures reaching heights of four meters.
