Turó de l'Home, Mountain summit in Fogars de Montclús, Spain.
Turó de l'Home is a mountain summit reaching 1,706 meters in the Montseny Natural Park, composed of phyllite and hornfels rock. The peak sits at an elevation that offers views across the surrounding ridges and valleys of the range.
A meteorological station at the peak has recorded weather data since 1880, making it one of the oldest monitoring posts in Catalonia. This continuous record spans more than a century of climate observations.
The summit attracts hikers from across the region who value its open views and proximity to diverse natural habitats. Local hiking clubs consider this peak a classic destination where visitors experience the montane landscape that defines the Montseny area.
The summit is accessible by road via the BV-5114 or by hiking trails that wind through different parts of the natural park. Sturdy footwear and awareness of mountain conditions are important, especially at higher elevations where weather can change rapidly.
The summit creates a natural water divide between the Santa Fe stream and the source of the Tordera River in the Montseny region. Rainfall here flows into two separate river systems that drain different parts of the landscape.
