Reial Col·legi Seminari de Corpus Christi
Reial Col·legi Seminari de Corpus Christi, Renaissance seminary museum in La Xerea, Valencia, Spain
The Real Colegio Seminario del Corpus Christi extends across a full city block, with a central cloister organizing the church, chapel, library, and classrooms.
Archbishop Juan de Ribera established this educational institution in 1583, supervising its construction between 1586 and 1615 opposite the Universidad Literaria.
The museum section displays paintings from masters including Caravaggio, El Greco, and Ribalta, alongside an original manuscript by Sir Thomas More.
Visitors can attend guided tours from Monday through Saturday, while religious services occur multiple times on Sundays and holidays.
The building preserves the sole surviving copy of a world map created by astronomer Petrus Plancius in 1592.
