The church exhibits a wide facade of red brick with stone elements, featuring a two-body structure with an arched entrance and large volutes.
Construction began in 1727 under architect Tomás Vicente Tosca and finished in 1736, replacing the previous parish of Santo Tomás.
The interior contains notable artworks by Spanish painters José Vergara, Espinosa, and Vicente López beneath the central dome.
Religious services occur multiple times daily, with additional mass times on Sundays at 9 AM, 11 AM, noon, 1 PM, and 7 PM.
An eighteenth-century sundial remains on the exterior, marking time alongside classical architectural elements of the building structure.
