Palau dels Boïl d'Arenós

Palau dels Boïl d'Arenós is a Gothic palace in La Xerea with a rectangular central courtyard framed by four arches. Stone masonry forms the base while upper sections feature stucco finishing, creating a distinct visual contrast throughout the structure.

Construction began in the 14th century, and significant modifications occurred in the 18th century, reflecting how Valencian residential design evolved over time. These changes show how the city's noble families adapted their homes to new architectural tastes and needs.

The stone portal displays the Boil family coat of arms, which served as a marker of noble status in medieval Valencia. Visitors can read the heraldic symbols to learn which aristocratic lines held influence in the city.

The building underwent comprehensive restoration in 1997 and now serves as the former headquarters of Valencia Stock Exchange. Visitors can observe the interior layout and materials, especially the arches and stonework visible in the courtyard.

The palace combines tapial, brick, and stone with wooden beam ceilings and brick vaults in its construction. This mix of materials demonstrates the building techniques that local craftsmen used to create durable structures from available resources.
