Alcazaba de las Siete Torres

The Alcazaba features seven defensive towers along its perimeter walls, with six square towers and one main tower reaching 50 meters in height.

Built before the 11th century, the fortress gained prominence during the 15th century when it served as a strategic defensive point near the Castilian border.

The structure demonstrates architectural transitions from Islamic to Renaissance periods through its construction methods, including tapial walls and cut stone elements.

Visitors can access the fortress during August from 19:00 to 21:00, while arrangements for visits in other months require contact with the local Tourism Office.

The main tower contains five interior levels and features two separate entry points, with the upper section constructed using larger stone blocks than its base.
