Gran Teatro de Córdoba

The Gran Teatro de Córdoba is an opera house with a horseshoe-shaped auditorium seating around 950 people, displaying Italian classical theater architecture throughout its interior. The building impresses with ornate interior decoration and elaborate balconies characteristic of 19th-century theater design.

The theater opened in 1873 following two years of construction, beginning with a performance of an Italian opera. The original 19th-century structure was preserved during major renovations carried out in the 1980s.

The venue serves as a gathering place where audiences experience operas, zarzuelas, and flamenco performances that reflect the region's artistic traditions. These productions showcase both European classical forms and local Spanish performance styles throughout the year.
