Fundació Stämpfli

The Fundació Stämpfli is a contemporary art museum housed in a converted former fish market building in Sitges. The space displays approximately 90 artworks by around 60 artists from various countries across three exhibition levels.

The museum was established in 2011 when Pere and Anna Maria Stämpfli decided to create an art center in Sitges. This initiative led to the transformation of the historic fish market building into a space for contemporary art.

The collection features works by contemporary artists displayed across the galleries. The pieces reflect different artistic approaches and come from various creative traditions represented in the foundation's holdings.

The museum is located on Plaça de l'Ajuntament and opens on specific days for visitors. It is worth checking opening hours beforehand, as availability is limited and guided tours are available.

The building itself was once home to the local fish market before being converted into an art space. The original structure's columns and framework remain visible and shape the character of the exhibition rooms.
