Bullring of Castellón de la Plana

The Bullring of Castellón de la Plana is a circular structure built from red brick with decorative tile details throughout, holding around 10,500 people in its stands. It functions as a venue for bullfighting events and other cultural performances.

The neoclassical arena was designed by architect Manuel Montesinos Alardins and opened on July 3, 1887, marking its debut with a performance featuring bulls from the Duque of Veragua. This inauguration established it as an important venue in the city.

The venue plays a central role during La Magdalena Fair in March, when the community gathers for bullfighting performances intertwined with fireworks and regional customs. Visitors can witness how the fair weaves these traditions into the city's yearly rhythm.

The arena sits on Avenida de Pérez Galdós and is accessible by public transportation in the city center. Visitors should check the event calendar beforehand, as performances are seasonal rather than year-round.
