Cala Saladeta, White sand beach in Sant Antoni de Portmany, Spain.

Cala Saladeta is a white sand beach in Sant Antoni Bay, framed by pine forests that extend down to the water's edge. The seabed slopes gradually, offering direct access to the sea without significant obstacles.

The bay has been a retreat for fishermen and residents for generations, maintaining their connection to the sea. Over time, it became known as a preferred spot for those seeking quieter beaches away from main tourist zones.

The cove's name comes from the salt content of its waters, which visitors notice immediately when swimming. Local people value this small bay as a quiet retreat where they can enjoy nature and observe undisturbed marine life.

Access is via a walking path through the pine forest that takes about 15 to 20 minutes and requires sturdy shoes. There are no bars, showers, or restrooms on site, so visitors should bring everything they need, including water and snacks.

As you wade from the beach into deeper water, you'll notice the water temperature shifts suddenly at a specific point. This occurs due to an underwater cold water spring that surprises swimmers when they reach the boundary between the two water masses.
