Cala Salada

Cala Salada is a beach on Ibiza's western coast with a narrow stretch of golden sand surrounded by pine trees. The water is clear and calm, with several boats anchored in the bay.

This area has been a fishing zone for centuries, evidenced by boat shelters carved into the surrounding rocks. These stone structures show how central fishing was to the local community.

The name comes from the salty water naturally found here. Visitors can still see simple structures along the shore that reflect its deep connection to fishing traditions.

The beach is accessible via a small road that leads to free parking. During busy seasons, a shuttle service may operate between the parking area and the beach.

Between this cove and the neighboring Cala Saladeta, there is a spot in the water where temperature suddenly shifts. Swimmers switching between the two coves often notice this surprising natural change.
