Museo del Carlismo de Estella

The Carlism Museum occupies the Governor's Palace building, displaying an extensive collection of artifacts, weapons, uniforms, and documents across three exhibition floors.

The museum chronicles the Carlist movement, which began in 1833 when supporters of Don Carlos contested the Spanish throne succession after King Ferdinand VII's death.

The permanent collection presents paintings, military equipment, and personal items that reflect the social and political environment of 19th-century Spanish society.

Located at Calle Rua 27-29, the museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, with a midday break, and Sundays from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Among the notable exhibits is a ceremonial sword given to Jaime III by the Duke of Solferino, featuring diamonds spelling 'God, Country, and King' on its scabbard.
