The church received recognition as a Bien de Interés Cultural in 1981, marking its status as a protected cultural heritage site in Spain.
Visitors can access the church through Eugenia de Montijo metro station on line 5, with free admission available on Saturdays between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Local traditions connect the church to San Isidro, Madrid's patron saint, through stories of miraculous events involving wolves and bread that occurred at this location.
