Katariina Seaside Park‎

Katariina Seaside Park is a green space that stretches along a peninsula with meadows, rock outcrops, and views across the water toward the Gulf of Finland. The grounds feature multiple areas for recreation, picnicking, and leisure activity along the shoreline.

The park was built on the remains of a 18th century fortress that played a role in regional naval history. Oak figures placed throughout the grounds serve as a reminder of this significant military moment from the past.

The meditation labyrinth draws inspiration from a French design and invites visitors to walk a thoughtful path through the grounds. The layout creates a place where people can pause and experience the surroundings with greater awareness.

The grounds offer various activities for visitors including sports, games, and dining options right by the water. Comfortable footwear is recommended as the park is best explored on foot, with different activity areas spread across the site.

Miniature lighthouses are scattered across the park grounds representing the maritime landmarks that dot the eastern waters nearby. Visitors can also discover a stone xylophone built into the landscape that produces sounds when struck, creating an unexpected musical element within the natural setting.
