Château de Saint-Martin-de-Pallières

Château de Saint-Martin-de-Pallières is a castle with a square footprint, four corner towers, and residential wings spread across its layout. Inside, the ground floor features a monumental kitchen with vaulted ceilings that reveals the importance this room once held.

The castle was built in the 13th century and first documented in 1256. During the 17th century, Pierre III de Laurens carried out major renovations and added a park and stables to the property.

Beneath the castle lies one of Europe's largest underground cisterns, built in 1747. This structure features five vaults supported by twenty pillars and reveals how seriously the residents took water management for their estate.
