Étang de la Vallée, lake in Centre-Val de Loire, France
Étang de la Vallée is an artificial water body covering about 4 hectares in Seichebrières with natural vegetation along its banks. Four designated fishing spots are positioned around the perimeter for different casting preferences.
The site was converted from a former gravel pit into a water body during the 1980s. This transformation created a new destination for fishing and leisure activities in the region.
The lake draws anglers who practice carp fishing here, becoming part of an established community of fishing enthusiasts. The banks serve as gathering spots where regular visitors meet and share their experiences.
Individual fishing spots can be rented and come equipped with toilets, showers, and barbecue facilities. It is advisable to check availability and reservation details before visiting to secure your preferred location.
The lake houses seven sturgeons and approximately 35 Japanese koi carp, with some specimens reaching 20 kilograms. These large fish can be spotted by attentive visitors near the shallow shore areas.
