Karadžićevo, Rural settlement in Markušica, Croatia
Karadžićevo is a rural settlement located in the Markušica area of eastern Croatia, covering around 11.5 square kilometers. The village sits in flat terrain at approximately 90 meters elevation within Vukovar-Srijem County.
The settlement was formerly called Križevci until 1920, when it received its present name. During the interwar period, the village underwent significant transformation through land reforms initiated in Yugoslavia.
The settlement carries a distinctly Serbian character visible in its architecture and local traditions. This cultural identity remains embedded in the daily life and visual appearance of the community.
The settlement is accessible through the regional road D518, which links it to surrounding communities. The L209 railway line also passes through the area, providing connections to larger regional centers.
