Santa Maria Ausiliatrice, Rome, Minor basilica and parish church in Tuscolano district, Rome, Italy.

Santa Maria Ausiliatrice is a minor basilica and parish church in the Tuscolano district of Rome, built from travertine stone. The building features a layout combining Latin and Greek cross design with three naves positioned along Via Tuscolana.

Pope Pius XI founded this church in 1932, while Pope Paul VI elevated it to basilica status in 1969. These two establishment phases shaped its ecclesiastical standing over time.

The interior displays frescoes by Giuseppe Melle created between 1957 and 1965, showcasing traditional religious art. These paintings cover the walls and help define the character of the worship space.

The church is located on Via Tuscolana in the southern part of Rome and can be reached by public transportation. Visitors will find a space for worship and community gatherings that is open during daylight hours.

A statue of Mary as Help of Christians stands on the high altar and received a blessing from Pope Paul VI in 1965. This figure remains the focal point of devotion at the site.
