Museo Nazionale Storico degli Alpini

The National Historical Museum of the Alpine Troops displays military equipment, photographs, documents, and multimedia installations about Italian mountain forces through dedicated exhibition spaces.

The museum opened its doors on March 15, 1958, becoming a central institution for preserving the heritage of the Italian Alpine Corps since their formation in 1872.

The Medal of Honor Room presents military decorations and personal belongings of Alpine soldiers who distinguished themselves in service to their country.

The museum operates Tuesday through Thursday from 13:15 to 16:15 and Friday from 08:15 to 12:00, with free admission for all visitors throughout the year.

Archaeological findings from the Lombard period, discovered during the museum's expansion works, are exhibited alongside the military collection in this hilltop location.
