Tomba dei giganti di Barrancu Mannu

The Barrancu Mannu giant's tomb features a 20-meter-long burial chamber with curved walls and a truncated ogival roof made of yellow-pink granite blocks.

Construction of this megalithic tomb dates back to the Middle Bronze Age, around 1300 BCE, during the Nuragic civilization period in Sardinia.

The archaeological site stands on a hilltop west of Rio Baccu Mannu, accessible through marked paths requiring sturdy walking shoes for the terrain.

A natural gallery called Sa Grutta extends beneath the tomb, containing Nuragic pottery fragments that indicate prehistoric human activity in the cave.
