Museo del vino, Wine museum in Torgiano, Italy
The Museo del Vino occupies twenty exhibition rooms within the 17th-century Palazzo Graziani-Baglioni, displaying over 3000 artifacts related to wine production.
Founded in 1974 by Giorgio and Maria Grazia Lungarotti, the museum houses archaeological finds dating from the Bronze Age through the Roman period.
The collection includes medieval ceramics, Renaissance pottery, and hundreds of engravings depicting wine themes by artists from Mantegna to Picasso.
Visitors can explore thematic sections about viticulture techniques, traditional winemaking equipment, and specialized tools used throughout different historical periods.
Room 16 contains the largest collection of wafer irons specifically designed for making treats served with Vin Santo wine.
