Malchittu nuragic temple

The stone structure features a rectangular floor plan with a vestibule, main room extending eight meters, and built-in seating along the walls.

Dating between the 16th and 14th centuries BCE, this religious complex represents the oldest megaron temple discovered in Sardinia's Nuragic civilization.

The central stone fire pit and offering counter within the main chamber indicate the temple's role in conducting religious ceremonies during Bronze Age times.

Located 2 kilometers from Arzachena on state road 125, the site requires a 1.5-kilometer uphill walk on rocky terrain to reach the temple.

The temple structure maintains its original walls and architectural elements, with only the wooden roof and flooring missing from its initial construction.
