Fonte Sacra Su Tempiesu

The sacred well features a seven-meter-tall temple structure with a vestibule, steps, and a chamber that safeguards the natural spring water source.

The temple construction dates to the Late Bronze Age in the 13th century BC and remained operational until the Iron Age in the 4th century BC.

Archaeological excavations uncovered twenty decorated bronze swords, daggers, pendants, rings, bracelets, and statues representing warriors and ritual offerings at the site.

The archaeological site welcomes visitors every day from 9:00 until sunset, with guided tours available through the L.A.R.Co cooperative in Orune.

Su Tempiesu stands as the sole surviving covered sacred well structure elevated above ground level, built using precisely cut trachyte and basalt stones.
