Ponte d'Augusto, Roman arch bridge in Narni Scalo, Italy.
The Bridge of Augustus spans 160 meters across the Nera River, reaching a height of 30 meters with large marble blocks forming its structure.
Constructed in 27 BC during Emperor Augustus's reign, the bridge originally featured four arches to support the strategic Flaminian Way connecting Rome to Rimini.
The bridge structure became a preferred subject for nineteenth-century artists, with paintings now displayed at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Visitors can view the bridge from Via dei Tre Ponti below or from a path along the Flaminia road that provides an elevated perspective.
From the original four arches, only the first southernmost span remains standing, while fragments of the other sections rest in the riverbed.
