Basilica di San Giuseppe Artigiano, Minor basilica in L'Aquila, Italy.

The Basilica di San Giuseppe Artigiano is a basilica in L'Aquila with three naves supported by Corinthian pillars and side aisles covered by brick domes and barrel vaults in the lateral apses. The building underwent extensive restoration after the 2009 earthquake and reopened in 2012 with renewed furnishings and a new pipe organ.

The church was founded between 1250 and 1254 by settlers from Amiterno and received official recognition through Pope Alexander IV's papal bull in 1256. This early foundation reflects the importance of the site to the developing city.

The interior contains a 15th-century mausoleum dedicated to Pietro Lalle Camponeschi, recognized as a national monument of Italy. This work reflects the artistic skills of its period and shows how the building honored important local figures.

The building is easily accessible following its comprehensive restoration and offers clear paths through the various interior spaces. Visitors should dress appropriately and behave respectfully since it remains an active place of worship.

During recent restoration work, 13th-century frescoes from the Giottesque school were discovered in the apse area, enriching the site's historical record. These artistic treasures had been hidden for centuries and reveal the sophisticated decoration applied to the original interior.
