Edoardo Chiossone Museum of Oriental Art, Asian art museum in Villetta Di Negro park, Genoa, Italy.
The museum displays over 15,000 items including sculptures, porcelain, bronze vessels, prints, masks, and Samurai armor from Japan and China.
Edoardo Chiossone gathered the collection during his 23-year stay in Japan from 1875 to 1898, where he designed the country's first banknotes.
The permanent galleries present Japanese Buddhist sculptures, ancient artifacts, wooden figures, masks, and numerous examples of traditional Eastern decorative arts.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday with general admission at 5 euros, offering reduced rates for seniors and free entry for children under 18.
The collection contains works by masters such as Tsunenobu, Utamaro, Hiroshige, and Hokusai, representing both Kano and Ukiyoe schools.
