Parco regionale Bacino fiume Sarno

The Parco regionale Bacino fiume Sarno is a protected area in the Naples and Salerno regions that encompasses the Sarno River valley with its tributaries, wetlands, and farmland. The site covers several thousand hectares and forms a connected ecosystem with different habitats throughout.

The area received official protection status in 2004 after conservation efforts started the previous year. This designation reflected growing recognition of the river basin's ecological importance.

Farming families have deep roots in this region, maintaining traditional ways of working the land that shape the landscape you see today. This agricultural heritage is woven into the identity of the communities living around the park.

The park has walking trails marked with information signs about local plants and animals throughout the area. Multiple entry points give you flexibility in choosing routes based on your interests and fitness level.

The Oasi del Voscone section features newly built picnic areas and accessible trails that let you get close to the river environment. This part was specially developed to welcome visitors of different abilities.
