Santissimo Crocifisso

The Santissimo Crocifisso is a shrine in Cosenza built with a single nave arranged in a Latin cross shape. Its elevated position within the city creates a distinctive presence in the urban landscape.

The shrine was originally dedicated to Saint Mary of Constantinople before being reconstructed after wartime damage. Architect Salvatore Giuliani oversaw the rebuilding work following the destruction.
